Meet Our Full Time Staff
Executive Director
Amanda Queen
Amanda Queen is the new director of Mountain Kids, Inc and is thrilled to serve in this new creative position.
Amanda is a full time educator at Richlands High School, the American Red Cross, and the Virginia Community College System. She is passionate about children and learning. Amanda has been a part of the Mountain Kids vision since it's inception and is thrilled to be a creative mind in this extraordinary programming.
Amanda holds a B.S. from Radford University, a M.A. from Virginia Tech and an EdS and EdD-abd from East Tennessee State University as well as multiple other specialty educational credentials. Amanda is a Tazewell County resident where she lives with her husband Kelly and children. She is an active member of the Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church and the founding member of the "In His Hands" Infant Ministry housed at CBUMC.
Amanda loves to spend creative time with her children, swim, enjoys music and crafts, being outside and is fascinated with American History.
Summer Camp Director
Emily Noonan
Emily Noonan began working with Mountain Kids as a high school intern in 2005. Upon leaving the organization to complete her education, she returned to the staff in 2009 as the Smart Beginnings Coordinator for Smyth and Tazewell Counties.
In 2012, she opened the Attitude Arts Academy, a local nonprofit for children and adults, offering classes in music, art, dance, drama, martial arts, and more! Emily serves as the Executive Director and Dance Instructor for the Attitude Arts Academy, and the Camp Director and Grant Writer for Mountain Kids, raising close to $500,000 for Mountain Kids over the past ten years.
Emily holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health with a minor in International Studies and Dance Communication from East Tennessee State University, and Master's Degree in Public Health Administration from Walden University. She loves creative and performing arts, dancing, playing guitar, baking, homesteading, her family, and above, all, God.

Lead Instructor
Ami Warner
Mrs. Warner is leading our Around the World in 4 Days Camp! Ami brings with her years of teaching experience, first hand accounts from multiple travels around the globe and lots of energy. Ami, her husband Jim and pup Wrigley are a blessing to our Mountain Kids Family and look forward to working with you!
Lead Instructor
Bruce Miller
Mr. Miller is leading creative music opportunities throughout the summer camp series. He comes from a jam packed, "music of all sorts", background and serves as the band director for the Richlands High School Band. His expertise is unmatched and we are grateful be privy to his talent and abilities. Bruce loves the Tennessee VOLS, his alma mater, and his pups Ouiser and Clariee.
Art Instructor
Colleena Owens
Colleena Owens is our on staff artist! There is nothing she can't paint, draw, craft, or sew. Colleena's creativity and love of all things crafty make her the perfect fit to our summer staff. When not working for Mountain Kids, Colleena works for the Attitude Arts Academy as the ASAP Coordinator, Art Instructor, and Tae Kwon Do Instructor. In her spare time, Colleena enjoys photography, creating digital content, and spending time with her family and pets.

Stephanie Joseph
Stephanie Joseph joined our summer staff in 2022, but has been a part of the Mountain Kids Family for years. She is the manager of Clinch River Farms, and also works for H&R Block. Stephanie's imagination and creativity shines as she works with campers. She is a big kid at heart, and loves jumping in and participating in all of the activities alongside the campers! Stephanie's family is her stronghold, and she is excited to become a grandma in the fall!

Olivia Keen
Olivia Keen has been with Mountain Kids for almost ten years! Starting as a camper, then a volunteer, she joined our summer staff in 2022. Olivia is a trained gymnast, and teaches tumbling and gymnastics classes for the Attitude Arts Academy, the Grundy YMCA, and Peak Gymnastics in Bluefield. This past spring, Olivia was seen on stage with the Buchanan County Guild as Jan in the local production of Grease. Faith and family are the defining points for Olivia. She is engaged and currently planning her wedding, and can't wait for another summer at the farm.

Linda Noonan
Linda Noonan has been involved with Mountain Kids Camps since 2010. She is our on site grandma, who fills every role! From leading crafts and activities, to helping with bookkeeping and office work, Linda does it all. She keeps our camps going, and keeps our staff on track.

Aly Lee
Aly Lee is brand new full time face to our Mountain Kids staff, and we can't wait for you to meet her and her contagious personality! Aly is a graduate from Richlands High School and is working towards her bachelors degree. In her future, she hopes to work with a non-profit organization because of her love for others. In Aly's free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and being around friends and family. Aly is an active member of Swords Creek Baptist Church. One interesting fact about Aly is she enjoys going to the beach with a good book. She looks forward to meeting you this summer!

Anna Hrovatic
Anna Hrovatic is another full time face to our Mountain Kids staff. Anna is a graduate from Richlands High School and Southwest Virginia Community College. She is now at Radford University pursuing a Mathematics degree. After graduation, she will work towards her masters in Mathematics as she wants to work in post-secondary education. In Anna's free time, she enjoys making music and being with family and friends. She is a Christian and loves the Lord. One fun fact about Anna is that she enjoys scuba diving with her father. She cannot wait to meet you!
Lifeguard
Lane Reynolds
Lane Reynolds is a new member of Mountain Kids. He is a graduate of Richlands High School and is currently attending Southwest Virginia Community College. In Lane's free time, he enjoys listening to music, going to the gym, and playing basketball. One interesting fact about Lane is that he aspires to participate in war reenactments, specifically the Civil War and the American Revolutionary War.
